Worcester Wolves pulled off a stunning upset win over joint league leaders Leicester Warriors 87-84.
The sides clashed in National Basketball League Division Two action at Braunstone Leisure Centre.
Warriors dominated from the start, establishing a 16-0 lead before the Wolves clawed their way back.
The Warriors set the early tone with a three-pointer within seconds.
Jacob Dearman's triple served as the Wolves' first response after nearly five minutes.
The hosts maintained a 28-11 advantage entering the second period.
Wolves' efforts started to pay off as Fin Rennie, Kamarni Steadman, and Daijaun Antonio closed the deficit to 35-25 four minutes before half-time.
However, Warriors hit back, stretching the lead to 54-37 at the half-time buzzer.
Coach Dean Blake revealed the half-time atmosphere that sparked the comeback.
He said: "There were a lot of loud conversations in the changing room.
"I said to the guys I’m not talking tactical stuff here, we just have to compete.
"When we start to compete then we can talk about tactics."
After the interval, Wilfrid Santhe and James Davis led the charge, cutting the deficit to just 67-63 by the end of the third quarter.
Jeremy Lievin partnered with Davis to form a defensive barrier, nudging Wolves ahead at 74-73.
The closing minutes saw the Warriors 84-81 in front, but Dearman, Antonio, and Davis combined to snatch victory for the Wolves.
Antonio topped the scoring with 18 points, closely followed by Dearman's 16.
Rennie and Steadman scored 13 and 12 points respectively.
Davis logged an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Lievin also contributed significantly with 14 rebounds.
Blake added: "It was a really poor start but when we play together as we did in the later quarters we’re a different team, a different group.
"I’m really glad we got the win on the road today and we now want to go back home to put on a show for our fans and get some more wins, though hopefully without today’s palpitations."
Wolves will close out their fixtures at the University of Worcester Arena next weekend, with a doubleheader against Myerscough Academy on Friday (March 7) at 7.30pm, and Cardiff City on Sunday (March 9) afternoon at 5pm.
